Stadler Trio 2 - Live concert. Eric Hoeprich, Carles Riera & Albert Gumí

Concert in La Alhambra (Patio de los Arrayanes), FESTIVAL INTERNACIONAL DE MÚSICA Y DANZA DE GRANADA, July 2008. Allegro 12 (12 Duos for Horns, KV 487) by W. A. Mozart. Played on period Basset Horns. Here, Eric Hoeprich plays a Cadenza, immediately after, an Eingang and, at the very end, a diminution, three of the improvisation possibilities at Mozart's time. Carles Riera just enjoys himself... "Pocas veces contenido y continente, el Patio de los Arrayanes, congenian tanto. [...] A ello se une la complicidad, un tanto juguetona del trío y la enorme capacidad didáctica y cómica del presentador..."
Andrés Molinari. Ideal de Granada, 10/7/2008

Members of the 18th Century Orchestra - Frans Brüggen - 1st Menuetto from the Gran Partita (1988) - Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

"Furtwängler, le must, Brüggen, l'autre must"
Le Monde de la Musique.
Menuetto from the historic recording with Members of the 18th Century Orchestra (1988). The Stadler Trio was formed a while before, and its members play in this project. Notice the first Trio of the Menuet for 2 Clarinets and 2 Basset Horns. During the Gran Partita tours the Stadler Trio always played one piece, also by Mozart, in the first part of the concerts. From the "25 pieces" KV 439b, Frans Bruggen often chose Larghetto, 17. Frans Brüggen, one of the best and most influential conductors ever, conducted this Menuetto understanding like nobody else the two great features of the piece: the dance and the sonata-form structure.
